New! Seasonal Wellness Circle

There is an amazing, capable, healthy YOU in there … she rests and roots in her winter, she rises and blossoms in her spring, she grows serves and beams warmth in her summer, and she drops her burdens to mother earth and allows herself to gently settle back into herself in her autumns.

I am gathering a group of women to be part of a year-long pilot program focusing on nature, our nature, and the natural healing rhythms of the seasons.

All of you and YOUR seasons are welcome here. They are beautiful, they are important. Get to know them, and yourself a little more deeply in my Seasonal Wellness Circle.

How are you? No, really?

Do you long to live from a grounded, aligned place — but you can’t, won’t, or have forgotten how?

We all have an abiding “ME” in the center of our being. Some people call it the “seat of self”, our “highest self”, our “wise woman”, our “spiritual center”. There are many names for this aspect of our being … but they all speak to beautiful stillpoint, a deep place of peace, where all is easeful and harmonious.

I love nature because everything IN nature (naturally!) reflects this back to us. A tree doesn’t try to hurry its leaves into existence, or long to be a wild rose bush. An insect moves at her own pace, and doesn’t build a case against wind, rain or the cold of winter.

When we tap into nature, we more and more realize that we ARE a PART of nature, and we can being reconnecting with our own natural seasons and rhythms, flow and elegance. Things get simpler. When we’re connected to our hearts and spirits, EVERYTHING is just easier.

harmony to authentic rhythm of what of We just lose contact with her.

our mission in this circle is find her, dust her off, and bring her into your beautiful life. The great thing about “finding center” and living from that place is that even when things are hard (almost always, right?) you still have YOU. And YOU are your own best friend; you can tackle anything that comes your way. Truly.

I invite you out of overwhelm, and into a little circle of women gathered specifically for the purpose of FINDING CENTER by committing to Mind Body Spirit-based self care.

If you’ve gradually given into “life” at the expense of your happiness, calm and inner peace, I invite you to COME BACK.

Come back home to your body, your breath, your heart, and your spirit.

Introducing my new Seasonal Wellness Circle an intimate in-person group whose mission is simply to be together in an intentional setting, so reconnection with our deepest selves can unfold.

Winter Cleanse

Bright, Clear & Reset for WINTER VIBRANCY!

Post holidays got you feeling … uh … overserved?

Now is a great time to “cleanse” — but do it with warrming, nourishing foods.

By eating Healing Lentil Soup (featured on this page) and ONLY eating it (or adding simple salads, oil/vinegar simple dressings, steamed vegetables) you can reset your system! Commit to simple eating and drinking for five days. Drink only water, and lots of it. (If you weigh 150 pounds, drink half of that in ounces, so 75 oz — MINIMUM.) Cut out coffee, alcohol, soda, etc. and experience deep clarity and hormonal balance!

Healing Lentil Soup

This Ayurvedic spiced lentil curry recipe is a healing medicine for digestive issues and makes the most comforting winter dinner dish. It’s simple to make, and is a great base soup for other toppings.

INGREDIENTS

oil or butter

1 onion, chopped

1 cup orange lentils

1/2 – 1 cup cup basmati rice
(can use brown, or cooked leftover rice)

4 cups vegetable or bone broth, or a combo broth and water

Indian spices: (I used roughly a 1/2 to a full teaspoon of spices I have on hand … garam masala, curry powder, mustard seeds, turmeric, cumin seeds or powder, coriander seeds or powder; a dash of cinnamon, cayenne…)

1 tsp salt

garlic, about 3-4 cloves minced

1 can (13.5oz) coconut milk, full fat

DIRECTIONS

In a medium pot heat the oil, add the onion and cook over medium heat, stirring frequently until translucent.

Add garlic, spices, salt, lentils and (raw, not cooked) rice. Mix to combine and cook for two minutes, stirring frequently.

Add the water/broth, bring to boil then simmer for 15 minutes, until the rice and lentils are cooked. Add your cooked rice if you’re using cooked rice once lentils are done.

Add coconut milk and stir to combine.

Turn off heat and add optional topping, if desired.

OPTIONAL INGREDIENTS

handful fresh cilantro or spinach leaves (will wilt once added)

OPTIONAL TOPPINGS to add once SERVED

cilantro
squeeze of fresh lemon
toasted cashews
a spoon of coconut oil or ghee
coconut flakes
s/p to taste
